Greetings fellow members. I hope everyone made it through the pollen season with no major problems, other than green vehicles. I know this can be a tough time of the year for allergies. We are in the beginning of a new lodge year so if you know someone who hasn’t paid their yearly dues, please reach out by giving them a call. They may have misplaced their notice or just forgot. Remember that if you have not paid your dues, you are not entitled to any lodge benefits. Just a reminder, the Lodge will be closed on Saturdays during the summer.
This month is Mother’s Day. Charles Derrickson is volunteering as chief cook for Mother’s Day Breakfast. So, bring all our moms for breakfast! Mom’s and children under 5 eat free, kids 6-10 are $6 a platter, and anyone over 10 who is not a mom is $10 a platter. Anyone willing to help cook, serve, and/or cleanup will be greatly appreciated. May 17th, we will be serving Mr. Bill’s cheesesteaks and fries. Kathy Getzel is doing a great job as kitchen manager, putting together some tasty meals on Friday nights. Come out to the Lodge for great food, fellowship, and look around at Elkdom at its finest.
I invite all members to come to the Lodge regular meetings on the first and third Wednesday of each month. We are filling up a lot of seats at our meetings and this is where all decisions are made for the Lodge. It warms my heart to see members becoming active in Lodge activities.
Our bingo format is changing a little bit. Come out to our bingo nights and have some fun with friends and the community.

ELK OF THE MONTH

My Elk of the Month goes to a gentleman who is always willing to help when he visits the Lodge and has become a regular volunteer at our bingo. If you see Chip Stallings at the Lodge, give him a pat on the back and say hi.
